Gears 5 Technical Test Start Date, Time, Modes and More Revealed

To ensure that everything works well in the Gears 5 multiplayer at its launch, The Coalition is preparing Gears 5 Technical Test. We know that it is very likely that you are interested in trying it, which is why we decided to tell you that we already know when it will take place.

Through a blog post, The Coalition revealed that the first technical test of the title will begin at 1 p.m. ET, on Friday, July 19 and end at noon on July 21. On the other hand, the second test will be from July 26 to 29 at the same times.

It is worth mentioning that, from July 17, the preload of the Gears 5 technical test will be available. So, you can have the opportunity beforehand to not miss a minute of the action.

What to expect from the Technical Test of the game?

According to the official announcement, the technical test of the game will give you a taste of several modes of its multiplayer in 2 different maps. The modes available in the technical test of Gears 5 will be the following:

  • Arcade: A new approachable, frenetic Versus experience.
  • Escalation: The pinnacle objective mode of Gears is back and better than ever.
  • King of the Hill: Capture the hill, enjoy the carnage.
  • Bootcamp: Practice your skills and learn new mechanics in our new training mode.

That’s not all, since the technical test of the game will also have the Tour of Duty where you can complete Medals to unlock skins for weapons that you can take to Gears 5. If you complete the 3 Medals you will get a special banner.

How to participate in the Technical Test of the game?

As we told you before, the Gears 5 technical test will be available on Xbox One and PC. Keep in mind that to access it you need to be subscribed to Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. You can also receive access by selecting Gears 5 in digital format or in selected stores.

If you have Game Pass, you can download the Gears 5 technical test from the Game Pass library on Xbox One or PC. Keep in mind that you will need to have Xbox LIVE Gold if you plan to play the console version.
